US-QATAR business council

Please allow me to welcome you to the US-Qatar Business Council, the only American organization dedicated to the enhancement of ties between the United States and the State of Qatar. As President of the USQBC, I am delighted to have the opportunity to be of service.

Whether you are a first-time visitor or a regular at our website, the USQBC’s goal is to offer you the complete range of services and information your company or other interests require.

Seven American companies banded together in 1996 to create an organization that would be the commercial, financial and cultural bridge between our two countries. We have now seen American investment in Qatar grow from a concept on paper to more than 150 billion dollars and the number of American citizens working in Qatar increase a hundred-fold. Over these years, American Universities, numerous think tanks and scores of businesses have also established themselves in Qatar. Conversely, the number of Qataris studying or doing business in the United States has increased at comparable rates. We believe that we played a major role in that growth.

The US-Qatar Business Council has earned the reputation of being the “one-stop shop” for any person or organization wishing to learn about and do business from Qatar to the United States or reverse. We play host to the most senior Qatari officials, and introduce Qataris and Americans who are leaders in many fields. We arrange programs, introductions and meetings for our members in Qatar and the United States and provide advice and counsel on a broad range of matters. Keeping in mind that personal contacts determine success in Qatar, we have a well-established reputation for putting the best Americans together with best in Qatar. There is no doubt that we provide the most value for anyone who wants to do business in or with the United States and Qatar.
